Today’s review is of the iGotTech Smartphone Stand (click link to purchase). The sticky suction cell phone holder claims to stick “on all kinds of materials firmly: plastic, metal, glass, rubber, silicon and so on.” It did stick well to windows. It attached firmly and held well.
However, I’ve had another cell phone holder (Torque Safe) and it stuck to my dashboard. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get this sticky stand to attach to my dashboard. The “sticky suction stand” was not sticky at all, even when I cleaned it with water. No sticky.
The sticky pad held my phone still in the OtterBox was very sticky and it felt like it was secure enough to hold my cell phone for a long period of time. But, because I don’t feel comfortable driving with my phone on of my windshield or in my face on the side window, I didn’t drive with this holding my phone.
In my opinion, this could be a great product, but, because I couldn’t get this to stick (via suction) to my dashboard like my other phone holder, I won’t be using this product while driving. It might be something worth using with the kids in the backseat while watching a movie or listening to music. It might even be useful when I’m navigating as a passenger, so that I don’t have to actually hold the phone.
If you have ANY problems with your Sticky Suction Stand for 2 years simply let iGotTech know and they will refund every penny of your purchase AND send you a brand new unit free of charge. I actually had to take them up on the offer because my first sticky cell mount broke when I was installing it. They sent me a new Sticky Suction Cell Phone Holder right away and without question. Read the directions when installing so that you minimize the potential issue I had.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
