Welcome back, Phil Wickham!

Children of God - Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham - Children of God 1

Welcome back, Phil Wickham!

For those of you who are familiar with Phil Wickham, you know that he took a break from singing and producing albums to undergo surgery for a vocal polyp – a lesion on his vocal cord – and to recover from that surgery.

Anyone who’s ever heard of that surgery know that there’s a chance that your voice will change or that you’ll never be able to sing again.  And he had a ONE MONTH recovery where he was unable to talk at all.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t think that I could not talk for a whole month.

I’m happy to say that not only is Phil Wickham back, but he’s better than ever with his new album Children of God, which released on April 22, 2016.

For those of you who don’t know who Phil Wickham is, let me introduce you to Christian Music’s main man of worship.  His songs, along with his fabulous voice, ushers you right into the Throneroom of Grace.

Children of God has a dozen worship songs, songs with driving beats, and songs that are just plain catchy.  Personally, my favorite is the first song released, Your Love Awakens Me, currently playing on my local Christian radio station.  Check it out.

Not available on Amazon Prime yet, I was able to listen to Children of God on Spotify for free.

  1. I have never heard of Phil Wickman and have never been big into Christian artist but I really like him! Played him for my kid and they loved him. Matter of fact played his “Always Forever” song and dance with my kids. The song made me cry and made a really beautiful memory. Thank you for introducing me to this artist.
