Honest Fizz Giveaway

When I say Honest Tea to you, what do you think of?  Do you think of those 9 flavors of honestly good tea in the glass bottles?  What if I told you that Honest Tea sells more than tea.  Would you even believe me?

Have I got news for you!  Not only does Honest Tea sell tea, but they sell juices and sodas, too.  Their line of organic juice drink boxes is called Honest Kids.  They also sell Summer Refreshers, which are large bottles of juice.  But, I have just discovered their Honest Fizz.

Honest Fizz is 5 flavors of organic soda – root beer, ginger ale, cherry, lemon-lime, and orange sodas.  They’re sweetened with plant-derived stevia and erythritol, a sugar alcohol, making this can a whopping ZERO calories!  Not only that but they are certified organic, Kosher, gluten free, and contain no GMO ingredients.   All of the sodas, except the Professor Fizz are caffeine-free.

My son and I sat down for a little taste test to try out 4 of the 5 Fizz flavors.  I’m going to preface this by saying that my favorite soda is a chemical storm and is definitely not good for me and that the Honest Fizz sodas are the first organic sodas that I’ve had.  I’m a huge fan of the overly-carbonated sodas that are sold regularly in the stores.  These facts aren’t something I’m proud of, they just are.  I’ve cut way back on my soda consumption and started drinking lots of water.  I know that my taste buds are going to be a bit picky when it comes to drinking a healthy soda like Honest Fizz.

Honest Fizz

Root Beer – As you can see, the root beer is a caramel color.  It has a little bit of carbonation in it, so it would be good for people who don’t like a lot of bubbly in their soda.  There is a scent of root beer and a gentle root beer flavor.

Honest Fizz

Orange Pop – The orange pop is clear, which means that it’s free from artificial colors and flavors as all of the Honest Fizz sodas are.  There is a faint scent and taste of orange.  It, too, has light carbonation, so there aren’t tons of bubbles.

Honest Fizz

Lemon Limey – This, too is a clear soda.  We both had a hard time smelling or tasting lemon or lime in this one.  It has only a little bit of carbonation, which some people prefer.

Honest Fizz

Professor Fizz – My personal favorite was the spiced cherry Professor Fizz.  It had a light scent and flavor of cherries.  It had a little more carbonation in it than the other sodas.  It contains some caffeine, just in case you want to share with your little ones.

  1. Honest Tea tries to establish great connections with all of their suppliers, and last year they gave back over $200,000! I also love that they are organic. That is not a must-have for me, but it is nice!

  2. They stated on their website that they strive to grow their business with the same honesty and integrity that they use to craft their products, with sustainability and great taste for all.

  3. learned Seth Goldman, co-founder of Honest Tea, drank a lot of liquids. An active person, Seth was continually in search of the perfect drink to quench his thirst after a run, a game of basketball or between grad school classes. Yet, Seth found most drinks either too sweet or too tasteless.

  4. I learned that they sell healthier and organic beverages. All of their tea is completely organic and hand-plucked from the plants.

  5. I learned about tea leaves: a tea leaf is not typically rinsed between the time it is harvested and the time it is brewed

  6. I did learn that the fair trade, organic cane sugar that they use in some of their products, as indicated on the label, comes from Paraguay.

  7. I learned that We strive to grow our business with the same honesty and integrity we use to craft our products, with sustainability and great taste for all.

  8. I learned that Stevia is a plant originally from South America that has been used as a sugar substitute for hundreds of years. The leaves provide sweetness with zero calories.

  9. I learned that n March 2011, The Coca-Cola Company purchased Honest Tea after an initial 40% investment in 2008, which helped expand the distribution of HONEST® beverages.
