Hillshire Farm New American Craft Sausages

My family and I have tried all three flavors of new Hillshire Farm American Craft pork sausage hand-stuffed into natural pork casing.  I received 2 coupons to purchase the sausages from BzzAgent and I purchased the 3rd package.  At Walmart, the sausages sell for $2.98!  These are certainly a great food to have for a thrifty meal.

Smoky Bourbon – My husband and son love bourbon chicken, so I was thinking that they might like this sausage.  However, all three of us thought that there was nothing special about this link.  It tasted like plain sausage.  (addendum:  my husband said that these were much better the day after when he re-heated them for lunch)

Onion and Garlic – This was some good stuff.  Nothing too terrible special, but it tasted good.  There wasn’t an overpowering flavor of onion or garlic, but just enough.  My family would have the onion and garlic sausage again.

Jalapeño & Cheddar – These were the icing-on-the-cake (so to speak).  My son said that they were like eating sausage nachos.  They had just a little spicy kick with a hint of cheddar cheese.  These are our favorite sausage and we are definitely going to be eating these again.  (addendum:  my son raved even more about these after re-heating them for lunch the next day.
