Glade® Wax Melts

Glade Wax Melts

I received the Glade® Wax Melts from BzzAgent for free in exchange for an honest opinion.  There are many scents of the wax melts and they have seasonal ones as well.  I tried the Clean Linen scent.  My husband is very sensitive to scents in the house and is really affected by burning candles, so this appears to be a good product for us to try.  The 8-pack of wax melts that I bought were $2.99 at Super Target.

One of the issues I had with this review was that I don’t have a wax melt warmer and one wasn’t provided to test the product, so I had to get creative.

As you can see, I used an empty votive candle holder and a small pan for water.  I placed the wax melt in the votive holder, put some water in the pan, and placed it on a low burner setting to melt the wax.  If you put too much water in the pan, the votive will float and tip over.  The wax melts…voila!

Now a word of caution.  Don’t forget to turn off your stove!  You don’t want to cook all of the water out of the pan and cause a fire.  I kept the stovetop light on to remind me that the stove was on.

My husband didn’t have any problems with the scent and our house and the house had a light, clean linen scent that wasn’t overwhelming at all.  This is definitely a product that I would use again.  I like the fact that I can change the scent in the house to fit a particular season, so I might use the apple-cinnamon scent for Christmas to make the house smell festive.
