Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster

I received Cascade Platinum Actionpacs Fresh Scent Dishwasher Detergent, Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster, and Prilosec OTC from P&G At Home.  You can read my review of Prilosec OTC here.

I’m not sure what the deal is with our towels, but we bought them last year when we moved into our apartment and we wash them regularly, but a few months ago, they started to not have a clean smell anymore after we washed them.  Having the opportunity to try the Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster was a good thing.

I put the towels in a heavy wash cycle, even though it wasn’t a large load, and used hot water.  I added the laundry soap and the Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster.  When they were done with the wash cycle, I put them in the dryer on the hottest and longest setting.

So, my towels are clean.  They don’t smell any different than they do when we wash them without the Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster fresh out of the dryer.  So, I’m going to hang them up, use them for 3 days, and report back.

So, it’s actually been a week and our towels that we’ve been using still have the scent of the Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster in them.  Impressive!  The towels that were in the closet waiting for us to use still smell lovely, too.

Does Gain Fireworks In Wash Scent Booster do what it promises?  It promises 12 weeks of freshness, but I won’t be using my towels for 12 weeks without washing them.  But, it did last for one week and that was all I needed.

  1. Sounds like a pretty cool product! towels are a bit of a pain sometimes… if you ever let them sit wet too long they get a smell, that in my mother’s experience only a bit of bleach can fix (which is why she insists on white towels).
