Friday Review Mash Up #37

Can you believe that we are already halfway through the year?  Happy July 1!  Here’s a mash up of some of my favorite reviews from the past week.

Beardsmen Spirit Rousing Citrus Beard Oil

Beardsmen Spirit Rousing Citrus Beard Oil comes in a nice man-sized glass bottle because plastic bottles are for girls. They didn’t skimp on the quantity either giving you enough oil that Gandalf would let you pass. Upon opening this bottle the smell of the rousing citrus wasn’t very noticeable until I put it in my hands. I was expecting a strong orange or lemon smell and I didn’t get either. The other essential oils took away from the citrus scents in my opinion. I didn’t like the scent of this oil. The oil was as good and effective as you would expect from the Beardsmen Spirit line. With the size of this bottle daily use won’t be an issue for the year. My hands felt moisturized even after washing them with soap, without leaving a greasy feeling behind. The product works as described, but isn’t a scent that I enjoyed. – reviewed by my bearded friend, Josh.

Pet ID Tags

I love these Pet ID Tags! I got my cat Eddy a name tag and it came with an additional tag (I got the star with a domestic cat on it) and a bell. The clips that were on the tags were extremely cheap, but I was able to take them off and put the tags on one of the two enclosed rings. Each ring has a bell, so technically, I received 2 bells. Since my family isn’t used to more than a little bell on our cat, I eventually took the star tag off to keep the noise to a minimum at night. The tag is large enough that you can read it without squinting your eyes and it’s laser engraved on the tag in white. The rhinestones are adorable and flashy. After 1/2 hour of my cat trying to attack the tags, he got used to them and leaves it alone. I’m so happy that I got the tag so, God forbid, if my cat gets out, my name and 2 phone numbers are on the other side of the tag for someone to contact me.

Amber Glass Roll-On Bottles

If you’re an essential oil lover, then you need to know about these gorgeous Amber Glass Roll-On Bottles. They come 7 to a box and are have endless uses. The cap is equally attractive in black. The roller balls are stainless steel, so they won’t rust.

You can use any number of essential oil combinations in your glass roll-on bottle. You can, also, use a plain oil in it as a lip or skin moisturizer. The glass roll-on bottle applies a light layer of oil and it doesn’t drip or leave a big, gloppy mess. They won’t leak in your pocket, purse, or diaper bag. So, if you’re looking for good quality, attractive glass roll-on bottles, then these are the bottles you’re looking for. They make great gifts, too.

Food & Vegetable Steamer

This is a fascinating silicone Food & Vegetable Steamer that’s safe for the stovetop or microwave. It has its own handles that are attached and silicone as well. Simply place this steamer in the bottom of your pan or dish after having added a little bit of water, place your veggies in the steamer, and close the lid. The veggies sit nicely on the steamer and are easily lifted out with the handles. I would have liked to see the sides of the steamer be a little higher to prevent the vegetables from rolling out of the sides, but it gets the job done without having to traditionally metal steamers that get hot to the touch or bamboo steamers that don’t get completely clean.

Adorlee Almond Hand Cream

There’s just something about an almond hand cream that brings back memories from childhood and the Adorlee Almond Hand Cream is no different. This rich hand cream not only smells delicious, but it makes my hands nice and soft and moisturized. It is absorbed quickly into my hands and arms without leaving them greasy or slick. Great for everyday use because there’s 5.2 ounces in the large tube. Use it once and the hydration goes on for hours.

Kitchen Sink Organizer

I’d given up on sink “organizers” until this Kitchen Sink Organizer. It holds my sponge and scrubber on the drip plate on the bottom. Inside, it holds my brush and liquid hand soap bottle. It keeps everything in one place so that my sponge isn’t lost in the sink with the dishes getting all grimy and smelly. There are no holes to allow the brush part to drip, so water may collect in the bottom of that. Easy to clean and it comes in 3 colors.

  1. Great review Sandy! I love the amber bottles as I have been looking into essential oils. My mother introduced them to me recently. As a certified neat freak, the kitchen sink organizer looks fantastic! I can always count on you here for honest and reliable reviews. Have a fantastic 4th of July. Blessings to you and yours!
