Friday Review Mash Up #12

Welcome to this week’s Friday Review Mash Up.  It’s hard to believe that we’re already a week into the new year.  Time to start getting ready for this year’s birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and to begin shopping early for Christmas.  I have some great products offered on Amazon by Homar (click that link for all their products) this week.

Homar No Tie Shoelaces

I have to be honest when I say that I didn’t think that I was going to like the Homar No Tie Shoelaces, BUT given the choice between these laces and the other ones that I was testing that I thought I’d like better, the Homar No Tie Shoelaces are still in my tennis shoes. I really love these laces. They keep my shoes securely on my feet, are waterproof, and they make it easy for me to get my shoes on and off without having to worry about tying and untying them. They come in 13 colors for adults and 13 colors for kids. They’re easily mixed and matched if you want to do school colors or favorite colors. They can be kept in your shoes when you wash them or can be just as easily removed. They can be switched from one pair of shoes to another. Perfect for kids who haven’t gotten the hang of tying their own shoes yet, but want to be independent. Super for people with mobility issues suchs a arthritis. I highly recommend these laces.

Homar Vinyl Wall Decals

I’ve had experience with large wall decals before, so I was expecting the same experience with the Homar Vinyl Wall Decal. The decal came printed right-side up rather than right-side down. Had it been printed this way, I would have been able to cut out a whole step in the process. I had to use a coin (or a credit card works too) to transfer the decal to the transfer paper and then transfer that on to the wall. It didn’t take a long time, it was just one more piece of the puzzle that could have had trouble. The transfer was moved from transfer paper to the wall without any issues and I now have a lovely statement in my office for my clients to see. I would have given it 5 stars had I not had to transfer the decal to the transfer paper, otherwise, this is a great product.

Homar BBQ Grill Mats

I’ve always wanted to try a barbecue grill mat and the Homar BBQ Grill Mats do not disappoint! We grilled espresso-rubbed filet mignon on them and had the most delicious meal. There was no charring at all. It left the meat with a lovely seared outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. The mats were super easy to clean with a simple wash in the kitchen sink. Nothing was stuck on it and it looks like it was never on the grill. Now that I’ve used these grill mats, I highly recommend them.

Homar Throw Pillow Cover

This is an 18 X 18 inch Homar Throw Pillow Cover. It would be great if you had a pillow that you wanted to transform for Christmas. You can also fill it with polyfill as well. The opening is secured with a zipper. It is made from linen and reminds me of the same fabric used in cross stitch. It’s soft to the touch. The pattern is printed directly onto the pillow case. This is great for home decorating as well as DIY craft projects.  They have a second set of Throw Pillow Covers available as well.
