Bamboo Cutting Board Set
These great Bamboo Cutting Boards (one small & one large) are fantastic! You can use either side of the board. One side of the board is completely flat and the other side of the board has an indented ridge/drip grooves all the way around the board to catch the juices from whatever you have on the board. Great for cutting meat or juicy fruit. It doesn’t leave a juicy mess on your counter.
The small cutting board is great for cutting veggies. The large board will be the only cutting board you ever need for cutting beef, turkey, pork, or putting out a lovely board for a cheese or charcuterie platter. These cutting boards are so attractive that you will be proud to have them on your table.
The boards come fairly dry, so you’ll want to rub them down with an cooking-grade oil (coconut oil, mineral oil, beeswax, or carnauba) to season them. Never use vegetable oil or varnish! Once they are oiled, the boards are have a beautiful color to them. Should you need to re-oil the board due to drying, it’s just as easy the second time.
The only thing that I didn’t like, and was easily rectified with a quick cleaning with a soapy scrubby, was the identifying paperwork that comes glued to the boards.
While the boards look like they are stained after use and before you wash them, they clean up very nicely and show no signs of staining. Clean up is as easy as a quick scrub with warm soapy water.
I love my Bamboo Cutting Board Set and highly recommend them to anyone who cooks. They make a great gift for cooks of every degree of talent. A lovely housewarming gift as well.
